About Devananda Devananda, Divine Bliss, exemplifies my name when teaching yoga. I found yoga in a "Yoga Fit" class in a local health club. The first hour on the mat over 20 years-ago changed my understanding of genuine health. Blending breath with movement and ultimately entering a state-of-meditation dramatically reduced the stress related to my then Mental Health Counseling career. Studying Yoga philosophy strengthened my spiritual understanding. I found many yogic ideas that helped me in group counseling.
I have continued on the spiritual path and traditions of yoga. Join me in practicing more than the postures, going beyond finding a "comfortable seat" into meditation and your own bliss.
